Easy French Onion Soup (Instant Pot) - GF/DF/NF
Ingredients
5-8 Onions
4-5 cups (or one box) of Low Sodium Beef Broth
10ish Garlic Cloves
3-4 tbs minced Garlic
3tbs Flour
3tbs Worcestershire
1/4 cup Vinegar, I used a mix of apple and balsamic
3tbs Honey
Mozzarella Cheese
Baguette
Black Pepper
Instructions
Chop Onions into bite size chunks
Sauté onions with the garlic in a little oil until soft and slightly brown
While sautéing, make the slurry
Whisk flour, honey, Worcestershire, vinegar
Transfer to instant pot, add broth
Using the sauté feature, bring to a boil, when it is bubbling, stir in the slurry
Pressure cook on high for 15 mins
Slow release for 5 mins and it’s ready to serve
To serve:
Place a pinch of mozzarella at the bottom of the bowl
Add soup
Top with toasted baguette, mozzarella, and a sprinkle of black pepper
