Dangerous Deep Fried Crab Deviled Eggs - GF LF NF

Ingredients:

  • Hard Boiled Eggs - halved and the yolks separated

  • Vegetable Oil

  • GF Flour

  • Not Boiled Eggs

  • Panko Breadcrumbs

  • Shredded Parmesan (Kraft Shredded is GF and LF

  • Mayo

  • Spicy Brown or Dijon Mustard

  • Paprika (I use McCormick Smoked Paprika)

  • Old Bay

  • Lump Crab Meat - picked for shells

Instructions:

  1. Heat up your oil in a pan or deep frier

  2. Prepare your dredge

    1. One bowl: flour

    2. One bowl: beaten eggs

    3. One bowl: mixed Panko and Parmesan

  3. Dredge and fry your egg white halves

    1. Coat each half in flour, then beaten egg, then panko mix

    2. Fry till crispy and brown - flipping halfway

    3. Sometimes the cavity disappears with the deep fried goodness, you won’t care, it’s fine

    4. Set on paper towels and let drain

    5. Make sure they are cooled completely before filling

  4. Make your crab filling

    1. Mix all the other ingredients to taste, don’t eat all the crab and set aside some crab to garnish the top

  5. Fill the eggs with the filling

    1. We make a substitute piping bag with a zip lock (the whole needs to be pretty big bc it is a lumpy filling)

  6. Top with a piece of crab and a sprinkle of old bay and paprika
